For this week's Cyclers of Seoul, we met up with Sean for our weekly Monday QnA.

Q: Where are you from and how long have you been in Seoul?
-
A: I still call Washington State (USA) my home, although it's been many years since I've lived there. I've lived in Korea a total of nearly 23 years. Lived/worked in Seoul for more than 8 years. (And from north to south, east to west, have flown over the entire country.) South Korea is truly a beautiful country from the ground and from the air!

Q: What bicycle do you ride? (brand, model, style)
-
A: I ride a Cannondale Synapse Disc 105. They call the color 'BBQ', not sure why, it doesn't work...I mean as a BBQ…. I'd call it 'Midnight Stealth'
=
Q: What is the best thing about Seoul?
-
A: The people, the places, the expat communities. (And a GREAT subway/train system.)
=
Q: Where is the best place to ride?
-
A: I'm still learning and exploring places to ride. But I haven't had a ride along the paths of the Han Gang that I didn't enjoy. Just when you think 'you've seen it all', you spot something new! (A big shout out to K-Water!)

Q: Anything else you would like to share?
-
Q: Well, I had a really long hiatus from bike riding. Really long and I won't say exactly how long, 'cause then you'll figure how 'young' I am (haha). A couple years ago I decided to start riding again. So now I'm on my third bike. Racking up the Kilometers, and making new friends, seeing new places, and of course learning what's new in cycling. I learned about HRR from a guy I ran into at my LBS (Local Bike Shop). And that also led to the discovery of Seoul Cycle, and my first group ride 39 years. (Damn, did just say that!) Thanks to Seoul Cycle for the Cherry Blossom Ride! Seoul Cycle and HRR are great resources for information sharing about all things cycling in Korea. My 'bucket list' for this summer, with a few buddies, is to ride:

1 ) Seoul to Busan

2 ) The Korea East Coast Trail along the ocean

3) Jeju-do.

Again, a special thanks to my 'younger brother from another mother, from the land of the Great White North' Luc! For Seoul Cycle, et al.
